My Background

Hello! My name is Sonali Goiporia. I am a qualified chartered accountant and I have worked in the financial services industry for more than 25 years, primarily covering Middle East, North Africa and Turkey.  I have been in senior leadership positions and registered regulatory roles within compliance over a significant number of years, covering investment banking, markets, commercial banking, wealth solutions and private banking.  I have deep knowledge and experience across compliance, including licence applications, conduct of business and key regulatory matters such as cloud, data, consumer protection and payment regulations. Having spent 15 years in one of the largest foreign banks, the last six as the Regional Head of Regulatory Compliance, I am excited to have started SYG Consulting.  I am passionate about supporting my clients by offering pragmatic solutions and helping them to navigate the regulatory landscape.
